Frequently Asked Questions

You Have Questions.
Good. So Do My Best Clients.

Answers to what high-achieving professionals, executives, and couples most often ask before working together.

01

Is This Right for Me?

High achievement and emotional struggle aren't mutually exclusive — they often travel together. Many of my clients have built extraordinary careers, marriages, and reputations, while privately feeling numb, disconnected, or like they're running on empty.

The same drive that got you here can make it harder to slow down long enough to address what's underneath. That's not a character flaw. It's a pattern — and it's one of the most common things I work with. You don't need to be falling apart to deserve support.

Therapy explores the root causes of patterns — anxiety, relationship dynamics, past experiences — and creates deep, lasting change. It's particularly effective if you're carrying emotional weight that's affecting your quality of life.

Coaching is forward-focused: clarity, strategy, accountability, and momentum. It works best when your fundamentals are solid but you're ready to move faster or further.

Many of my clients actually benefit from an integrated approach — and as both a licensed therapist and certified coach, I can move fluidly between both depending on what you need in a given season.

Yes. I work with professionals who travel, lead teams, and operate on demanding schedules. Sessions are available virtually, early morning, and outside standard business hours by arrangement.

We'll build a cadence that fits your life — not a rigid schedule that creates more pressure. Consistency matters more than frequency. Even biweekly sessions, done with full engagement, produce remarkable results.

Yes — this is a significant focus of my practice. I work with founders, C-suite leaders, attorneys, physicians, and high-achieving professionals who need someone who understands the specific pressures of operating at their level.

That means no judgment about ambition, no oversimplified advice, and a pace that respects your intelligence. I've worked with people who've been disappointed by therapy before — often because their previous therapist didn't understand what their world actually demands.

02

Couples & Relationships

Absolutely — and frankly, couples who come in before a crisis tend to get the most out of the work. You don't need to be in pain to want more depth, intimacy, or alignment in your relationship.

Many of my couples are high-functioning partners who love each other but have drifted — they're roommates when they used to be teammates. Preventive work is some of the most powerful work I do.

Yes. Working with one partner individually on relationship dynamics can create meaningful shifts — sometimes enough that the other partner becomes curious and willing to engage.

I can help you understand your own patterns, communicate more effectively, and approach your partner in ways that invite rather than escalate. One person changing their side of a dynamic changes the dynamic.

Sessions are 55 minutes and can be done in-person or via secure video — from your home, office, or anywhere private. I work with couples where one or both partners travel frequently, with sessions scheduled around real-world calendars.

The first session is an assessment — I want to understand both of your perspectives, your history, and what you're hoping to build. From there, we establish a clear focus and a realistic timeline.

03

What to Expect

I work in a direct, collaborative way. I'll share observations and ask challenging questions — this isn't a space where I'll just nod and reflect your words back to you. High-performers tend to need someone who will match their level and push back thoughtfully.

I also integrate evidence-based frameworks (including somatic approaches, attachment theory, and cognitive methods) in a way that's practical, not clinical. You'll leave sessions with real insight and real tools.

It depends on what you're working toward. For focused goals — navigating a transition, improving communication, getting unstuck — many clients feel significant shifts within 3–6 months.

For deeper work — long-standing patterns, relational healing, identity-level change — most people find real value in 9–18 months. I'm transparent about this from the start. You'll always know where we are and what we're working toward.

Yes. Everything shared in session is protected under strict professional confidentiality. I do not communicate with employers, insurers (when working privately), or anyone outside the therapeutic relationship without your explicit written consent.

For executives and professionals with concerns about privacy, I offer private-pay arrangements that ensure no insurance company has access to your records or diagnosis. Your privacy is not a negotiation.

04

Investment & Logistics

I practice as a private-pay provider. This is an intentional choice — it protects your confidentiality, eliminates the need for a diagnosis to begin care, and allows us to work without limitations on session frequency or duration imposed by insurers.

I provide a monthly superbill that many clients submit to their PPO plan for out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary, but clients with strong PPO plans frequently recover 50–80% of session fees. I'm happy to walk you through how this works.

Individual sessions are $[X] per 55-minute session. Couples sessions are $[X]. Coaching retainers are available for clients who prefer a structured engagement with defined goals and outcomes.

I also offer intensive half-day and full-day formats for clients who prefer concentrated, deep work over a shorter period. The best option depends on what you're working toward — we'll discuss this during your consultation.

The first step is a complimentary 20-minute consultation call. There's no pressure and no clinical intake — just a direct conversation to see if we're a good fit for each other.

From there, we schedule your first full session, and you'll receive a simple intake form to complete beforehand. Most clients describe the first session as the best decision they made that year. You can book directly using the link below.

Still have questions?
Let's just talk.

A 20-minute consultation costs nothing and tells you everything you need to know. No pressure, no paperwork — just a conversation.
